National Parks of Emotion Art Lab

The National Parks of Emotion Art Lab will give an overview of where the evolving project currently stands and where it might be going, inviting new and previous participants to collaborate, experiment, and brainstorm with different ideas and mediums.

The free Virtual Art Lab will include a guided meditation/visualization, mindful drawing, writing, and discussion, with further invitations and instructions to contribute to the project through photography, sound, and other mediums. Author Deborah Siegel--author, TEDx speaker, and founder of Bold Voice Collaborative, will make a guest appearance to teach writing techniques for the project.

Together we’ll map our emotional geographies of the pandemic to create a National Parks of Emotion system that will culminate in a virtual interactive installation later in the year.

You don’t need to consider yourself a "good" writer or artist to help build the National Parks of Emotions, or be interested in all of the mediums. You just have to be willing to be open to playing and taking chances, to connect with others, and to explore your experience of the pandemic through the creative process. People of all ages are welcome, including teens and kids with adult supervision.
